The Print Effect

Have you ever imagined how long your Twitter stream actually is? Imagine printing out all of it; how many pages do you think it would span?  The Print Effect is here to help calculate that figure.

The Print Effect is a free and simple website that helps find how many pages it would take to print out your entire Twitter stream. In addition to the number of required A4 pages, you are also shown the amount of printer cartridge ink required. Other cool facts include the weight of all those pages, how much area these pages would cover in total, the length of the stack of these pages, and the time taken to print these pages using a single inkjet printer. To use
The Print Effect, you only need to provide your Twitter username.

Japan Earthquake: Robots Help Search For Survivors

Just when we hear worsening updates of Japan's Nuclear Domain Radiation levels surging at a quake-crippled reactor at Fukushima plant, Japan's leading experts in rescue robotics are deploying wheeled and snake-like robots to assist emergency responders in the search for survivors of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck the country last Friday.
Details are still scarce, but updates are that at least two teams plan to use their search and rescue robots, one team in Tokyo and another in or around Sendai, the city that suffered the most damage in the 8.9 magnitude earthquake and ensuing tsunami.

Chrome Still Shines in "Later 10"

Google Chrome fans[including me] will scream out of the excitement , as Google has recently launched its first build of Google Chrome 10 with Crankshaft. Ever since its first build in 2008, i have never looked back and thus lead to retirement of other browsers.

Well Many changes have taken places in Chrome 10 which is screamingly fast. More handful to JavaScript, its 9-10 times much Superior to its first companion.Reason being the speed with its new “Crankshaft” V8 JavaScript engine.

The most noticeable change in Chrome 10 is the Options settings, and they'll be welcomed by tweakers and anyone who ever changes Chrome options. When you click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select Options (Preferences on a Mac), the menu now opens in its own tab rather than in a relatively small window, as with previous releases, making it easier to find the options you want to change.

More important is that you can now search through Options, so you don't have to hunt around for the feature you want to change. For example, if you want to make changes to any settings related to downloads or passwords, type in one of those terms, and you'll be sent directly to those settings.
