The Reading Habit..!!!

The reading habit of books, novels, magazines will never fade away with time, even with online availibility of books and ebooks.

But for the users who consistently bond with I-Net always seek for local availibility of books for their daily intrest. For the same, they prefer downloading E-Books.well i can consider myself in this category.

There are various shopping of books sites available, like Granth,Flipkart,India Plaza Books,RediffBooks,India Times, and soft coner in E-Bay.Though E-Bay cant be considered totally intho books shopping,I wont consider this web portal in my Ratings.

I would Rate Granth on top, scoring high in technology and well design web site for shopping of books.

The availibility of books and range of books really catches the attraction of user.

Grath web portal also shows the new book release updates.

Also, special offers are produced on bargain rates.

The Database search engine is most facinating and produces required results accoring to the matched strings.

So why are you waiting.."go E-Bookie Shopping now..!!"

My Verdict:"Its time for I-BooKworm"

SNAP FISH...Bang On

I have started rating website according to the categories,nd firstly i would start with HP's Snapfish.

Snapfish by HP is the number one online photo service in the world, with more than 50million members and more than 2 billion unique photos stored online. It enables members to share, print and store their most important photo memories by offering prints and personalized photo products at the best value on the Web.

Snapfish offers professionally developed, high-quality prints for as low as Rs. 2.95 , free online photo sharing, unlimited online photo storage, free editing tools and software, and a wide range of customizable photo products to choose from, ranging from calendars, mugs and mousepads, to customised post cards and many more.

Snapfish was launched in 2007 in India and it is the Number 1 and fastest growing online photo service in the Indian Sub continent.

How Snapfish Works:

HTC Touch Diamond..!! Dum Hein

The Touch brand from the HTC stable has certainly evolved. From the Touch to the Dual and now the Touch Diamond, it feels like a planned strategy.

The Touch Diamond fares far better than other phones in HTC's Touch series, so calling it a "successor" wouldn't be strictly accurate. Having reviewed the two previous Touch phones already, I will stick to those features that are unique to this one

Design

The interface is refreshingly new and chic. The phone is one of the thinnest in the Touch stable, and will hence appeal to the style-conscious. It’s important to keep in mind that the Diamond has an internal memory of 4GB, which really works to its advantage.

At 102 x 51 x 11.5 mm, this phone has shed a lot of bulk, and is easily the lightest Windows Mobile phone in the market at 110g. The front comprises the 2.8-inch touchscreen with the lower band housing the four function keys and the navigation button

The earphone jack, USB and the charging slot can be found at the bottom. The socket housing the stylus has accommodated a refreshing change with the inclusion of a mild magnetic effect, to ensure that your stylus doesn’t fall off.

Features and Performance

The phone works on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, and like any HTC phone, this one too comes heavily customized. Foremost is the TouchFLO 3D version 3.0. It’s evolved from the original Touch days, and there’s more to it than you'd guess.

The phone has192MB DDR SDRAM, 256MB ROM, and improved processor power with a Qualcomm MSM7201A 528MHz processor.

Unlike the earlier TouchFLO models, the current interface is a lot more user-friendly. Since using it takes up a lot of the phones resources, it was always a conscious decision between what's flashy and what's feasible – for its slow performance often made it a real pain.

The TouchFLO interface looks and feels pretty good. As I said, there’s no reason to avoid it, for it's fast and fun to use. For instance, while reading messages, you can just "pinch" and send the message flying up or down to the next or previous message. Viewing pictures using TouchFLO is also fun.

The bottom band now displays more than just the current page you are on, and at any given point of time you can just press your stylus and keep rotating the various tabs – Mail, Music, Settings, Browser etc. You can stop at whatever you need to access directly, so there’s no need to go past all the tabs to get to the one you want.

Multimedia

The music quality has undergone some significant changes. It not only sounds a lot crisper, but at the same time looks and feels a lot less hostile. Since there’s 4GB of space built-in, you can start enjoying music immediately.

It also supports the A2DP profile, and having tested it, I have to say the music sounds much better with a heavy-duty Bluetooth headset. It also has a FM radio with RDS, which works fine.

Battery

After considering all these new features, it’s disheartening to learn that the phone's battery life is not adequate. Of course, if you are a heavy-duty power user, I would recommend that you carry a charger with you, or buy another for office use. The phone can be charged through the USB too, though it takes a lot more time

Price

At Rs 29,500, HTC Touch Diamond is really expensive. Still, considering the great looks and features on offer, I'd say it's worth the price.

Rating

I would rate it 8/10 for display looks,7/10 for price ,and 8/10 for features.

In total:7.6/10

is experiece and performance "NOT" important ?

Former India captains Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid, as well as classy middle-order batsman VVS Laxman are definitely still on the Indian selectors' radar for Test cricket, but when it comes to the one-day and Twenty20 formats, the selectors have made their preference for younger players known to all and sundry.

Laxman last played an ODI on December 3, 2006 against South Africa at Centurion, while Dravid's last appearence in the 50-overs format was against the Aussies in Nagpur in October 2007 and Ganguly last played an ODI for India against Pakistan in November 2007.

To be fair to Laxman, he hasn't been given a regular run in one-dayers, as can be gauged by the fact that he has featured on only 86 ODIs during his 12 years as an international cricketer, in which he scored 2338 runs including six centuries and 10 half-centuries at an average of 30.76 and a strike rate of 71.23.

Dravid and Ganguly, on the other hand, have both played more than 300 one-dayers, and have enjoyed immense success in this format of the game. Ganguly formed one half of the all-time greatest opening partnerships with Sachin Tendulkar in the 50-overs format, while Dravid changed his style of play to suit the requirements of one-day cricket. Both Dravid and Ganguly have also been successful captains for India in this format of the game.

But are the selectors just looking for younger team w/o considering experience of players who can be very handy and really moral giving players who have played 300+ games together.

Dravid has scored 10,585 runs in 333 ODIs with 12 centuries and 81 half-centuries at an average of 39.49, while Ganguly has 11,363 runs with 22 centuries and 72 half-centuries at an average of 41.02 along with 100 wickets to show from his 311 one-dayers.

Compairing Mr.sanath Jayasuraya from Sri-Lanka,a person with 38 Years with such a power and agrression in top form. But why is indian team still going with youngsters?
If we compare younger seeds average that with sourav and dravid,i guess dada's current average is better than anyone of the players in recent indian team.

one of the interview,Dada had said,"Performance mattars,Not the age" and i really support him with this.I really do.As he was in superb form when he made comeback last year.

I m eagerly waiting to see dada in one day squard as soon as possible

JAANE TU… YA JAANE NA...!! (But Now i Know)

It was meant to be a clash of the titans, but my battle royale tilted more in favor of one film-- JAANE TU… YA JAANE NA. The headlines screamed, 'Harman versus Imran'.But i thought i would go in favour of Imraan.

Well this doesnot mean that i will not see Love Story 2050,I will surely take up this challenge to see this movie, but i gave more preference to Imraan's Debut.

The soothsayers predicted a big start for LOVE STORY 2050. The promotion of this sci-fi film was also befitting its stature. But it dint go the way it was expected.

But,neways i wish herman a great sucess ahead.. over the years to come now.

Now,I've realized that the viewers never get carried away by the hype and hoopla. They go by their instinct. If their heart is set on a film, there's no stopping it(Same here). Actually, the industry is always clueless about what the audience wants.

Right now, it's a JAANE TU… YA JAANE NA wave across the nation. I haven't seen such enthusiasm amongst exhibitors quite frankly. The industry was in the I.C.U. and JAANE TU… YA JAANE NA has come as the sanjeevani booti.

I guess after Tareen Zamin Par i have seen a good movie..i won't compare it with TZP,but i suppose in this season,Imaraan's Movie was a real savior for audience.

Actually the story is preety simple, and some what logical, and mainly for younger generation crowd.

Pr@jyot's Ratings: 3/5
verdict:Average Film,Can catch attraction of younger generations.
