Samsung Omnia W - India's First Windows 7.5 Smartphone

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd has launched the Samsung Omnia W, its first Smartphone based on the latest release of Microsoft’s Windows Phone, code-named Mango. The Company also launched its first bada 2.0 device Wave III (GT-S8600) and its Android based entry smartphone targeted at younger audience, the Galaxy Y (GT-S5360).

Mr. Ranjit Yadav, Country Head, Mobile and IT, Samsung India, was quoted in a press release as saying, "We are very proud and delighted to be announcing the launch of India’s first smartphone based on the Windows 7.5 platform. The potential of Windows based phone and the possibilities it opens for Samsung customers are endless. 

The Omnia W (GT-I8350) reportedly sports a minimalistic contemporary design with a metallic finish and features a 1.4GHz processor, 3.7-inch SuperAMOLED display, a 5MP camera, and integrated 14.4Mbps HSPA+ connectivity.

Mango’s unique user interface lays out applications in mosaic 'Live Tiles' which flow and move on the screen in response to the users touch. The interface provides the benefits of a user environment usually associated with a larger display within the portability of a smartphone screen, delivering a flexible and intuitive experience.

The Windows Phone People Hub is reportedly integrated with social networking services built-in Windows Live, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, ensuring that users always stay in touch with their social community.

Office Hub provides enhanced productivity on-the-go and includes access to Windows Live Sky Drive, which provides 25GB of free storage and allows documents and media files to be easily stored and accessed anywhere. Users can also create and edit documents through mobile versions of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as utilize One Note, a note-taking platform allowing the easy sharing and storage of voice memos, images and text-based notes.

Samsung Galaxy : "Its Rockie"

Just was waiting to see a nice portal untill i got stuck with this One..Samsung Galaxy Portal.Well just too good. I wonder now all the phones which are upcoming have Android OS. The switch is definitely good and worth it. Many of mobile enthusiastic feel its an i Pod due to its slim and lightweight physic and Metallic Finish.

Galaxy is lightweight and slim handset with dimensions of 64.2 X 122.4 X 9.9 mm and 119gm.With a WVGA 4.0 " screen display, and 16M Super Amoled mDNle, this phone seems to catch attention in stores.With a talk time of 750 Mins.(2G) and 391 Mins.(3G), it lacks no talk-ability and use of hours.

5 MP camera is ideal for the shoot out along with HD video player and recorder @ 30 F.P.S. It is also inclusive of common features like Self Shot, Action Shot,Add Me, Cartoon Shot and Smile Shot.Both, photo and video session can be carried out with rapid pace.So if you are an adventurous person, you might have a choice. Qik Video and Swype are some of the pre-apps in the mobile.Social Networking is also a part but i hav not taken this feature in mind for judging this cell as lately many phones have channeled Social Networking as Part of Mobile.

Models are available ranging from 8GB and 16 GB memory with provision to expand up to 32 GB via Micro SD card. This 1 GHz Processor speed mobile is known for its TouchWiz 3.0 which is evolution of new Samsung's GenX .

Samsung I900 : It's An "Android"

India is a huge mobile market and the numbers speak for themselves. It is clear by now that beyond of 2010, 130 Million Unit sales of mobile will take place. Recently a lot of new companies like Micromax, Lava, Lemon, Videocon, Spice etc have jumped into the mobile handset war where big wigs like Nokia, Samsung, LG and Sony Ericsson have been fighting from a long time. No doubt about the fact that Budget phones are ruling the market as justified by "Common" Man. All companies are trying to cut down on the mobile prices so that the market purchase retains or boosts up to higher levels.

Samsung has recently launched Samsung I900 on android OS.Weighing up to 118 gm and dimensions of  64.2 x 122.4 x 9.9mm, this phone is all set to hit the market. This touch screen mobile with 5 MP camera, is much more advanced than the usual phones. Only worry aboug this mobile is it lacks flash.Equipped with Bluetooth and 2 USB Slots, Samsung I9000 has internal memory of 16 GB which can be increased upto 32 GB using MicroSD card.Samsung I9000 has Wifi Connectivity and also Tv Output slot. 

For all the business people looking for budget phone,i would say this phone is preety fine. Document Writer, Mobile Printing and Aero-Mode(Offline) are some of the features along side usual calender bookins and task notifications. With a talk time up to 805 Mins, this phone is very much user interface friendly.
